Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa and MasterCard American Express and Discover Card. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone (888-549-8697), or by post.
We accept PayPal. However there is a 3% surcharge for all PayPal payments due to HIGH PayPal fees. If you do not wish to pay these fees please use check or money order for your payment method.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by you at any time.
Shipping And Handling
We utilize FED EX and the US Postal Service for shipping. We insure all items shipped. You must immediately open and inspect your item for damage. The shipping companies always request to see the box the item was shipped in, so therefore do not throw away any of the packaging material. Failure to inspect the item immediately, save the packaging material or notify us of damage upon receipt will void damaged or lost goods shipping warranty. We must hear from you within 10 business days (domestic, US) or 20 business days (International) if you have not yet received your package so that we may begin a prompt inquiry.
Any address correction fees incurred from customers providing incorrect address information will be passed along and charged to the customer. What is acceptable in size when shipping to foreign countries varies by country and so shipping - on ALL orders -should be viewed as an estimate only and you would be contacted if shipping paid is not sufficient. Duties & custom fees vary by country and we cannot advise. Customers are responsible for these fees if applied. Any duties assessed to us rather than you, the customer, will be passed on to you. Items returned are subject to a 20% restocking fee and shipping charges are not refundable. Orders can only be canceled by phone and by talking to a person (a phone message will not work since we are unavailable to make the necessary change). If not canceled immediatley (before credit card processing) a 6% credit card processing fee will be subtracted from the refund. This is a fee we get charged and must pass on to the consumer.
We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in <days> business days. International orders are generally received in under 90 days.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. Please note: as many of our products come from Germany it may take 30-60 days for you to receiver your order. For Tucher & Walther limited editions it may take as long as 5 months. If a serial number for a limited edition currently exists you can expect your order within normal shipping times. Please contact us via e-mail or phone for the specifics of your order.
For orders made from within the United States, sales tax will be appllied to all orders shipped to Ohio. Our business is operated from Ohio All other orders are tax free.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
We will take all reasonable care, so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.
Disclaimer Implied Warrantees
There are no warranties express or implied other than the manufacture provided warranty. All items must be returned to the manufacture for repair. We will not be responsible for shipping cost. You must contact us before any item is returned.
We are not responsible for product discrepencies with regard to color, finish or design.
Self assembled kits are warranted only for their parts. We can not be held responsible for the incorrect assembly of the kit. If the item does not work after assembly it can be returned to the manufacture for proper assembly or repair. Hourly shop rate and shipping cost will apply for items that were damaged by the builder or improperly assembled. You must contact us before any item is returned.

Toy steam engines use flammable material and require fire to operate. They are not suitable for children under 14. So as not to burn your house down, strict Adult Supervision is required for all children using toy steam engines!

KITS ARE NOT RETURNABLE! WE WILL REPLACE DEFECTIVE PARTS WHEN THE BAD PART IS RETURNED TO US. THERE WILL BE A FEE FOR CORRECTLY ASSEMBLING ANY KITS. IN SUCH CASE RETURNED SHIPPING IS NOT INCLUDED!
