Jensen Heater Element 110 volt A/C (Without Power Cord 3 in Dia.Boiler).
110 Volts 3.5 Amps 400 Watt Sandwich Type Heating Element.
Instructions for Installing a Jensen Heating Element
Take the boiler and firebox assembly off of the metal base or board. Leave the boiler & boiler straps on the firebox.
Take off the insulation metal support by removing the 4 rivets. This can be accomplished in several ways:
Drilling out the rivets
Chiseling the rivets off from the inside
Use a Dremel tool to grind the 4 rivets out
Install the heater element, start both screws in the heater element to firebox, equally tighten these screws in order to gap the terminals so they do not touch the walls of the firebox. If terminals touch the firebox walls it will cause a dead short.
Next put in the 2 fire insulation sheets.
Now install the fiber insulation metal support with screws & nuts provided. You may also use a pop rivet gun if you do not want to use the screws & nuts.
Screw down the firebox & smoke stack support to the metal base or board.
Now put on the Hayco (cord restraint) with a pair of pliers or needle nose pliers. Place the smallest part of the Hayco restraint at the bottom of the power cord and press both sides of Hayco as close to smoke stack support as you can. Now pop the attached Hayco into the hole on the smoke stack support.
NOTE: ONLY FACTORY INSTALLED HEATER ELEMENTS ARE UNDER WARRANTY.
